A Legacy Edition of Santana's Caravanserai
I'd love to see an LE of Santana's Caravanserai album. Perhaps there are outtakes or demos from the sessions available. This could be supplemented from live material or a show from 1972 or so, highlighting this wonderful album.

The quad mix of Caravanserai was very nice, marred only by Q8 tape hiss in quet passages or weak channel separation of SQ records and average decoding. Imagine how magnificent it would be today on an SACD or BluRay disc!

Caravanserai was released in quadraphonic...so a 4 channel sound disc on sacd is possible..

The tour behind this album marked the first(and last) time that Santana would try taking the lead vocals himself. Critics called his vocals "weak". Even if there is a live tape of one these gigs, I doubt that Santana would want it released.

I agree that a Legacy Edition of Caravanserai pulling out all the stops would be phenomenal. Supplementing with live recordings of THAT band at that time period would really be great to hear.
