<text>It is obvious that Epic must have some Jeff Beck vault material, including the completed(but never released) 2nd Beck,Bogert & Appice studio album, the original version of "Superstition"(with vocalist Kim Milford), Unreleased Jan Hammer compositions recorded at the "There & Back" sessions, unreleased tracks with a female vocalist done during the "Flash" sessions, and the rejected first versions of the "Rough & Ready" material(with vocalist Alex Ligertwood). Reportedly, then- CBS chief Clive Davis rejected the recordings with Ligertwood.</text>

<text>I'm aware that there is outtake material from which an expanded "New Blood" could be created. Contempoary press coverage(in "Stereo Review") indicated that further songs were recorded, including the cryptically named "M"(sung by Steve Katz) and Swedish language track sung by Georg Wadenius(the title translates to "The Crow's Funeral"). Also, the idea that Bobby Doyle(originally intended to be the new lead singer) didn't record with the group is false. He was with the group in the initial sessions at "914 Studios" only to have his vocals removed/replaced when sessions resumed at Columbia Studios(though his piano playing remains on the released mixes of "Touch Me" or "Velvet"). Perhaps an inspection of multitracks(or possible mixes) made at "914 Studios would locate Doyle's vocal attempts. At the time, press reports said that Doyle didn't get the lead singer job because he was under contract to another label, and he was reportedly a handicapped (blind)performer whose onstage mobility would be very limited.</text>

<text>I'm sure that there is potential bonus material to create expanded/remastered Weather Report CD's. I recall, when I bought the original L.P. of "Tale Spinnin'" that there were stickers over the song listing on both the album cover. Peeling up the stickers revealed that a song(called "Kampos" or "Krampus") had been omitted at the last minute. It was omitted to avoid compromising the sound quality on an L.P. that was ultimately 28 minutes per side. I'd also like to hear "Miroslav's Tune", the bonus track on a rare Japan CD of "Mysterious Traveller".</text>

<text>The music industry seems to have lost interest in offering back catalogue music video programs on DVD. Yes, I can make my own DVD-R's from the old VHS tapes & Laserdiscs, but I't's not as good as having a real DVD(with the resolution of a DVD). Sony Music has a big back catalogue of music video programs once offered on VHS & Laserdisc by Sony Music Video, Columbia Music Video, Epic Music Video & CBS/Fox, and it's about time to offer these on DVD,with surround sound and bonus material where possible.
This includes programs by Bob Dylan,Cheap Trick, Billy Joel,Ozzy Osbourne, Aerosmith and others. WHY NOT?</text>

<text>After Bob Dylan's first album(mostly cover versions) wasn't a hit, it was career make or break time with his second album, and Dylan suddenly burst forth with a prolific outpouring of original songwriting, recording enough songs for two and a half to three albums, before trimming it down to one L.P.
Wouldn't it be great to bring all of these songs and takes together in one place? Yes, we can assemble our own set with the released album, the vaults tracks presented on Columbia's "Bootleg Series Vols. 1-3", and the many full-fidelity songs circulating on unofficial releases, but I'd like to see what Legacy could do with this material, properly annotated and packaged with take numbers and recording dates. </text>
